Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow and mindful practice, focused on relaxation from any stress, anxiety or burnout the students may be experiencing.
It is a functional form of yoga, suitable for all abilities with plenty of options available to adapt to suit individual needs.
Studios will need props available to support this practice. Please contact me to discuss, as I can plan classes around what you have available.
Class duration: 1 hour
Gentle yin & yang Yoga
A balanced class of gentle stretches and movement from traditional hatha yoga and longer held, yin-style stretches designed to release tension from the day. Sometimes called “Stretch and Relax Yoga”.
Classes are designed seasonally and based on the time of the day with morning classes starting with more yin and moving into building more yang energy. Evening classes start more yang and move us into yin, ready for a peaceful night’s sleep.
Mostly seated or mat-based with slow, mindful movement.
Class duration: 1 hour
yoga nidra / Meditation
Nicknamed "yogic sleep" for its deeply restful quality, 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra has been claimed to be equivalent to 3 hours of normal sleep in terms of the deep rest that you get. Like a guided meditation, in this practice, there is no physical movement required as you listen to the words as they guide you through different states of consciousness for deep rest.
Class duration: 45 - 60 minutes
Yin Yoga & Meditation: 1hour 30 minues
Meditation & Crystal Sound Bath
Ultimate relaxation for mind and body, starting with a guided meditation and moving into a sound bath with crystal singing bowls.
Especially good for those who struggle to sit in meditation on their own as the practice is guided to start, then the sound and vibrations of the bowls take over and soothe the nervous system.
Class duration: 1 hour
